Studio 100 Group and T&B Media Global have announced today, a collaboration on a new CGI animated series FriendZSpace for adventure loving kids aged 5-9. T&B Media Global and Flying Bark Productions will co-produce the comedy-adventure series which tracks three human kids who are dedicated to making friends with young alien beings who happen to be scattered all around the universe! Studio 100 Media has secured the worldwide distribution rights (excluding Thailand) for all audio-visual as well as the L&M exploitation rights and will be presenting the show as a highlight at this year’s MIPCOM RENDEZVOUS CANNES.
Studio 100 and SeaBelievers today announced that they will collaborate closely as distribution partners on the exploitation of the CGI Animation series of the same name: SeaBelievers (52 x 11’). Studio 100 acquired the worldwide (excl. Russia and CIS) distribution rights for all audio-visual as well as L&M exploitation. Studio 100 will present the show at this year’s MIPCOM RENDEZVOUS CANNES 2020 for the first time.
From August 2020 the complete Heidi product range of Zapf Creation will be available in stores starting in Germany and Austria. Zapf Creation and Studio 100 Media as rights owner support the product launch with marketing measures.
Zapf Creation will place non-linear TV ads in September and October and at the same time ads in the relevant parenting magazines.
Studio 100 Media has signed a license agreement with MyPostcard for the lifestyle brand Miffy on behalf of the rights holder Mercis BV. The multi-year agreement covers the German-speaking region. As part of the cooperation, sheets of stamps featuring the little bunny Miffy are now available. In 2018, Plopsa opened the first amusement park in Poland: Majaland Kownaty. With a record of 250.000 visitors, the main targets were easily obtained. Shortly after, the announcement of a second park near Warsaw followed, of which the constructions will start very soon. Studio 100 Film and Kool Produktion AS today announced a slate of sales and first admissions for the recently completed animation movie ELLA BELLA BINGO. The Norwegian production will travel to territories from the US, Canada and UK to Benelux, France, Portugal, Bulgaria, Poland, the Baltics, Russia and Ukraine, to Turkey, South Korea and LATAM. ELLA BELLA BINGO already was released nationwide in Norway on January 24th 2020 with a total admission of 51,136 till February 18th. In Denmark, where the film was released on January 31st, the total admission as of February 18th is 31,068 and showing strong numbers.

The CGI animated special (12 minutes) brings Studio 100’s beloved character Heidi to life in the well-known PLAYMOBIL® look-and-feel. Telling a heart-warming story of Heidi and her friends, the special takes the audience into the idyllic Alpine world of Heidi.
The shareholders of Studio 100 – Hans Bourlon, Gert Verhulst and BNP Paribas Fortis Private Equity – were looking for a fourth shareholder to support the company’s long-term growth plan. With Vic Swerts and 3d investors, Studio 100 brings on board two well reputed Flemish long-term investors who strongly believe in the company’s growth strategy and the entrepreneurship of the management team. 25 per cent of the shares are sold to Vic Swerts (17%) and 3d investors (8%).
Based on their own experience in building international companies, both investors are delighted to be able to support the further growth of Studio 100. Like Soudal, Studio 100 has in the past already been awarded the “Enterprise of the Year” award.

Studio 100 Media presents new licensees for the spanking brand new “100% Wolf” just in time for the International Toy Fair. Joy Toy will present a collection of plush figures (25 cm and 30 cm) of the animal characters at the Nuremberg Toy Fair (Joy Toy, Hall 4 A-80). The product range also includes lamps and lights from torches to night lights as well as ceramic products. SkyBrands will create various textile products such as bed linen, pillows and sleeping bags as well as clothing for children with the new brand as a licensee in the Home & Living segment. As an apparel partner, Spreadshirt will focus on T-shirts, hoodies, long sleeves and bags. All three agreements valid for several years will cover the German-speaking territories.
On the afternoon of December 21st, Samson & Gert’s farewell show premiered in the Studio 100 Pop-Up Theater in Puurs. During a dazzling show it was announced that Marie Verhulst will be Samson’s new boss. After weeks of speculation, it is now finally known who Gert’s successor will be. To top it all off, Marie also brought her very first single during the show: “Marie & Samson”. The accompanying video clip will be released on January 10, 2020.
Studio 100 Group is gearing up for a massive 2020 with the opening of Flying Bark Productions’ brand-new Los Angeles (LA) studio and a further expansion of its Sydney-based premises which will cater to a 400-crew capacity.
Flying Bark has appointed Ian Graham as its Chief Creative Director for the LA studio which will open doors in early 2020. Focusing on creative leadership and long-term content strategy for the new studio, Ian will spearhead a development slate for original production working with local and international talent and will help supervise pre-production teams for both original and client service work.
Studio 100 Film and Kool Produktion today announced an impressive voice cast for the upcoming theatrical feature “Ella Bella Bingo”. Leading the voice cast are Summer Fontana (“The Originals”, “Dark Phoenix”) as Ella Bella, Jack Fisher (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, “Legends of Tomorrow”) as Henry, Benjamin Plessala (“Shameless”, “Big Little Lies”) as Johnny, as well as Tress MacNeille (“Tiny Toon Adventures”, “The Simpsons”), Richard Kind (“Inside Out”, “Argo”), Fred Tatasciore (“Family Guy”, “Star Wars Rebels”, “IT”, “Moana”) and Chris Sullivan (“This is us”, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”). Joining the formidable ensemble for the Norwegian animation movie is Jamie Thomason (“The Spectacular Spider-Man”, “Young Justice”) as voice director.
Studio 100 Film and Volgafilm have closed an agreement for the rights to the animated feature film “Vic the Viking – The Magic Sword”. Volgafilm has acquired the distribution rights as well as other audio-visual exploitation rights for home entertainment, pay TV, free TV and VOD including SVOD for Russia, Ukraine and the Baltics including Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. “Vic the Viking – The Magic Sword” is produced by Studio 100 Media, Studio 100 Animation, Belvision Production in co-production with SND – M6 Group, ZDF and BNP Paribas Fortis Film Finance. The animated movie is set for delivery in December 2019. Studio 100 Film acts as the international sales agent and is located at Loews Office #653 during AFM 2019.
Studio 100 Media and Zapf Creation have signed an extensive international license agreement for CGI brand “Heidi”. The multi-year agreement initially covers the rights in German-speaking territories, France, the UK and Ireland, Russia, Poland, Scandinavia, Benelux, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The cooperation includes puppets and plush figures of the characters from Studio 100’s popular CGI series. The new products will be available from 2020.
Zapf Creation will launch a total of five products – one Heidi soft doll with talkback function, 30cm tall, two cuddly Heidi and Peter soft dolls, 30cms tall, and two cuddly toys, the St. Bernard Josef (20cm) and a goat (15cm). The sweet dolls are manufactured in a completely new production process. A special fabric mask for the face is formed by warmth, printed in digital print and softly stuffed, thus the doll receives a three-dimensional natural appearance and remains thereby soft and cuddly. As the dolls wear plastic shoes, they can even stand tall.
